Setting up Obsidian Conflict

After installing Obsidian Conflict you will need to "mount" any games that you wish to play cooperatively in Obsidian Conflict. Mounting is the term for setting up a game to work in Obsidian Conflict.

Click here for a list of games that are currently supported by Obsidian Conflict.

Please note that you can only "mount" games that you own and have installed on your computer.

To mount games for play in Obsidian Conflict:

  • Start Obsidian Conflict
  • Click on "Mod Options" from the main menu.
  • Check each box for a game that you own.
  • Exit or restart Obsidian Conflict.

Note: If you check a game that you do not own, Obsidian Conflict will crash. (Since the Mounting System has been improved a lot in Obsidian Conflict 1.4, will those Errors / Crashes never come up again)

To fix this:

  • Find your Obsidian Conflict Folder.
ex. C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\obsidian\
  • Open it and find the folder "mounts"
ex. C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\obsidian\mounts
  • Delete any files that contain the name of the game which you do not have installed on your computer.

If you in the other hand get strange Errors like:

MountFilesystem( <Application ID*> ) failed: SteamMountFilesystem( *****,*****,0x*****=, 0x*****)

failed with error *****: <Special Error Message, most of the time does it helps to read this one>

would it be a good idea to look at this Page: Mount System errors.
